"I think I have it!  I think it's in my mouth!"

"Does this count as feeding myself?"

"That was really hard, you guys. I think I might be ready for a nap now.

"Hi again! Grandma and I did lots of things together last week."

"We watched the cars go by. I like how they go 'vroom!'"

"Hi you guys. Can I show you what Grandpa gave me? It's pretty amazing!"

"I'm not quite sure what to do with it, though."

"Lick it, maybe?"

"Grandpa, I licked it. But now what?"

"Is it smushy? Can I pet it?"

"Come closer! I will name it George and hug it and pet it and squeeze it."

"Oh, I see. Yes, in my mouth is better.  5 stars, Mama. Definitely 5 stars."

First finger food: avocado

"It's been how long since I posted?"

"Oh my. Well, I have a good reason."

"This is how I spent a lot of last week. 

I had another bad fever and needed to snuggle with Mama and Daddy."

"I'm all better now! And Mama said that I get to show you what I tried for the first time!"

 "She said it's called 'finger food.' But I don't think I'm ready for meat yet."

"I am enjoying the smushy texture quite a bit."

"It makes for good snacking while watching the cars go by, too."

"Brava, Mama!  Good choice!"
