Eat, Veronica, Eat!

Looks like it's that time again.

Oatmeal time!

Veronica is just taking a break from madly stuffing the spoon into her mouth.

After helping to pulverize the oatmeal, Diego got into the documenting spirit and took his own photos of Veronica's first "solid" food, all thanks to the good people at Fisher Price.

And as with so many things the second time around, it makes me think of the first firsts:

That's Diego in June 2011, trying his first "solid" food (and the first post here).

But there are lots of first firsts to come too.

New Blog Regime

First time eating a meal at home without the "baby seat."
Now that Diego is talking, it's making it harder and harder for me to put words in his mouth.

My little chef needed to take a break from making dinner to check on his choo choo tracks.
He has plenty of his own words, so I'd rather post videos so you can hear what he's really thinking.

Tasting lettuce for the first time.
And after this video, I think I might have to turn blog updating duties over to him:

Two

"Hi guys! There's some crazy stuff going on over here."

"There's cake..."

"Rainbow cake!"

"And there are a lot of people just behind me.  Allow me to introduce some of them."

 "There's Grandma and Grandpa."

"Auntie Karla came with Daniel and Daniella! We liked playing in my new tent."

"Aw, newborns! But Mommy better not hold them, not even for a second!"

"And more friends! (This is before we went crazy with the sticker walls.)"

"I thought I could keep on partying forever! But then..."

"It got a little too real for these 2 year olds."

Peanut, Peanut Butter

"Can you guys be my witnesses?"

"Mommy gave me something new to try and I don't want to keel over or explode or something."

"She claims she's keeping cool about it, but this stuff can be scary."

"We're talking about peanut butter, fyi."

"Right here. On my tongue."

"It's weird, though."

"How can something so sticky go down so smooth?"

Diego's rating for peanut butter: 3.5 footballs.

Making Lemonade...

"You might be wondering what I'm eating while we wait out the storm."

"Just a lemon."

"Or two."
