Lime-aid

"Check it out. Mama liked my corn cob soup recipe so much she asked me to do more cooking."

"Can you believe that she asked me to squeeze limes for her? Limes! Well, of course I replied...

'This is AWESOME!'"

"So first you take the lime half and carefully put it on top of the cone of liquidy awesomeness."

"Then you squeeeeeeeeeze out the juice.
Pro tip: It helps to actually say the word 'squeeze' at the same time."

"Here's an aerial view so you can see how hard my little fingers are squeezing."

"Sometimes the lime might go crooked, but that's ok. I have a solution for that."

"The ol' lick and stick!"

"That was pretty delicious. I'd better lick the lime again."

"When you've squeezed all the limes, double check that Mama doesn't have more.
Keep asking and she'll probably cave and let you squeeze 1 more lime than she actually needs."

"Once you've exhausted Mama's lime supply,
you grab the edge of the cone of liquidy awesomeness, and..."

"Wait, the lime juice is in there?"

"Let's not be hasty about this. Better replace the cone and collect myself before I look again."

"There's the lime juice. All in one place. Contained."

"Should I put the cone back on and have Mama take it from here?
Or should I spill the lime juice out just to see what will happen?"

"Easy choice. So long, cone of liquidy awesomeness."

Diego's rating for limes: Exceptional.

Little Chef

"Today I'm going to teach you how to make corn cob soup."

"You need to get Mama's help with shucking the corn.
It helps to have a pretend sword fight with the 2 ears of corn before you start, too."

"After Mama takes the kernels for whatever she's making, put the 2 corn cobs into a pot."

"Stir vigorously."

"Cover the pot and put it back into the cabinet for awhile.
Take this time to play with blocks, wind up cars, or a fish puzzle.
Or, do as I do and play with all of the above."

"After your toys are sufficiently played with, you'll want to check both corn cobs for tenderness."

"You'll know it's ready when you don't put the cobs back in the pot."

 "The perfect meal for teething!"

Fireworks

"Look, look! I have shoes on with my pajamas!
Mama and Daddy are taking me out past my bedtime!"

"Somehow I thought something more interesting goes on after bedtime.
Instead we're just on this field."

"But it looks like I'll get a lot of extra Daddy time tonight, so I can't complain."

"Daddy?"

"Is this my new bed? Because I think I could get used to this."

"Well, Mama's clearly excited about something.
I guess I'll keep my eyes open for something new."

"And the first something new? Cotton candy! I approve - 5 stars."

"Glowy thingy! New thing #2! Will there be more?
Something called fireworks? I'm intrigued."

"Mama? Daddy and I talked and we agreed. That flash is too bright.
Stop taking pictures and just tell people that I liked the fireworks. A LOT."
